My Weekly Collage Assignment

Well obviously I haven't been blogging this year, but I have been achieving my goal to make a collage every week.  I tried to use resources that I picked up during the week (garbage in the streets, magazines given to me, cards, junk mail, food packages, and other random papers) as well as scraps and images I produced that week for my Etsy shop (silk screen transparencies, test prints, fabric and thread scraps, etc.).  A few times I was low on time and had to use some images from my source pile, but for the most part these collages tell a story of what I've been working on this year.  It's hard to throw test prints and fabric scraps away!  It was nice to put them into something else, plus it forced me to take a day off and sit down to make a piece of art for art's sake.  I may have to keep this project going next year, it's been very therapeutic.
